EDINBURGH — Edinburgh trailed 6-4 after four innings Wednesday before scoring two runs in the fifth to tie it and one in the seventh to walk off with a 7-6 Mid-Hoosier Conference baseball win against Southwestern (Shelby).

NORTH VERNON — Jack George and Jake Grider each shot 41 to tie for medalist honors Wednesday and lead Jennings County to a tri-match win at St. Anne’s.

NASHVILLE — Clay Austin fired a 38 to win medalist honors Wednesday and lead Brown County to a 177-235 win against Mitchell at Salt Creek.

NASHVILLE — Brown County took its first Western Indiana Conference girls tennis loss of the season Wednesday, a 4-1 setback to Greencastle.

GREENCASTLE — Brown County scored a run in the top of the first Wednesday, but South Putnam rallied for an 8-3 Western Indiana Conference softball win in a game that was called in the top of the sixth.
