January’s program is “Mario the Maker Magician!” An award-winning children’s performer, Mario is known for the integration of DIY electronics and robotics in his show, inspiring kids to dream up their own creations. It is also celebration of family, community and culture, and honors African heritage. Kwanzaa is observed from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1. HOOSIER ARTIST GALLERY: GEOFF KELLER, Hoosier Artist Gallery, 45 Jefferson St., Nashville; new member Geoff Keller’s graceful vase-shaped aspen wood sculptures are adorned with delicate drawings of birds and other mammals. Keller uses archival ink and pencil, making thousands of tiny dots to create his drawings. He credits Indiana’s famous bird artist, the late Bill Zimmerman, who gave Keller lessons on bird morphology, as his inspiration. Keller’s art is available for viewing and purchase at the gallery.

ATTERBURY-BAKALAR AIR MUSEUM, located at the Columbus Municipal Airport will be closed after Dec. 21 until March 3 for annual winter maintenance.
