COLUMBUS, Ind. — Fort Wayne homicide detectives, with the assistance of the Columbus Police Department and Indiana State Police, located and arrested a murder suspect Monday night.
Fort Wayne officers said Markquiel Derrick was arrested just south of Indianapolis at 7 p.m. Monday. Derrick was then transported to Fort Wayne and booked into the Allen County Jail on a charge of murder.
The murder charge stems from the shooting death of Antonyo Stephens, of Fort Wayne, just before midnight on Aug. 14.
