NORTH VERNON — Alexis Carson smacked an RBI-double in the bottom of the seventh inning Tuesday to give Jennings County a 3-2 Hoosier Hills Conference softball win against Columbus East.
Carson went 2 for 3 for the Panthers (8-7, 2-0). Kenzie Matern threw a six-hitter and did not allow an earned run.
Addy Ross went 2 for 3 for the Olympians (7-9, 1-2). Hermione Robinson threw a six-hitter and struck out 10.
