C4 offers open houses to middle school students
Middle school students in Columbus will learn more about the programs offered through C4 Columbus Area Career Connection at the school’s Pathways Fairs next month.Central Middle School students can attend the fair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Jan. 14 at Columbus East High School, 230 S. Marr Road. Northside Middle School students are invited to the fair at the same times Jan. 20 at Columbus North High School, 1400 25th St.Students from St. Bartholomew’s Catholic School, St. Peter’s Lutheran School and White Creek Lutheran School are also invited to the fairs to learn more about C4 programs.
Additionally, a C4 community open house will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 20 in the C4 wing of North High School. The snow date for the open house is Jan. 27.
School board requests community feedback
The Bartholomew Consolidated School Board is encouraging Columbus residents to give their input on the qualities they would like to see in the school district’s next superintendent.Current superintendent John Quick is retiring July 1, and the seven-member school board is in the process of finding his replacement.A 10-question community survey is now available on the district’s website to allow local residents to share their ideas for BCSC’s future. All residents are encouraged to fill out the survey, even if they do not have children in a BCSC school.
