Randy and Sheila Hampton of Bartholomew County are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today and plan a trip to North Carolina.
Mr. Hampton and the former Sheila Collins were married April 10, 1976, in Hope.
Mr. Hampton is a self-employed mason, and Mrs. Hampton is employed by MainSource Bank.
The couple have two children, Melissa Hampton and Cory Hampton, both of Columbus.
