Columbus’ 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer’s surpassed its fundraising goal by nearly $15,000.
More than 500 residents from the greater Bartholomew County area raised nearly $107,000, up 22 percent from last year’s walk. Donations continue to be collected, walk organizers said.
Funds raised will go toward caregiver support and Alzheimer’s disease research.
The top fundraising team at this year’s walk was Grandpa’s Gang, raising more than $6,000.
