Purdue Extension Bartholomew County will host a program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 for all individuals involved in county and local government budgeting.
The program will explain how Tax Increment Finance (TIF) works, what problems occur when it is used inappropriately and recent research on whether TIF adds to local government development or shifts taxes and revenues.
It can be viewed at Bartholomew County Extension, 965 Repp Drive, or from a personal computer.
To register by Dec. 2 and for more information, contact Purdue Extension at 812-379-1665.
