The Columbus Republic, an award-winning daily newspaper in south-central Indiana, is looking for a Full-Time News Reporter to fill a position immediately available in our newsroom.
One or two years of experience at a newspaper is preferred, but recent journalism graduates with strong clips are encouraged to apply. Reporters cover topics including news, business and government, as well as complete enterprise and feature stories. Candidates must be versatile, be able to analyze information and write well, cover beats, work well under deadline and take complicated issues and make the reader understand them. Successful candidates will complete daily stories and long-term pieces.
The Republic is a great place to do quality local journalism. Reporters must be self-motivated and organized and are responsible for generating story ideas, cultivating sources and providing content for our print and web products every day.
