FORT WAYNE, Ind. — A triple shooting In Fort Wayne killed two men and critically injured a third, authorities said.
The alleged gunman, Joseph Bossard, 32, faced two counts of murder and one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon Thursday, authorities said.
The shooting occurred Wednesday night after an argument among the four men at a convenience store, said Mark Bieker, a Fort Wayne police spokesman.
The three victims were found in and around a car that ended up in a snow bank, Bieker said.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the dead men as Fort Wayne residents Anderson Retic and Joshua Cole Cooper, both 19.
The third victim’s name hasn’t been released.
Bossard, whose image was captured on a surveillance camera, was arrested at a home. He surrendered peacefully after SWAT team members tossed a chemical agent into the home.
A probable cause affidavit said Bossard was inside the store when he became involved a “verbal confrontation” with the three victims. Bossard drove off, then returned and fired a handgun inside the victims’ car, it said.
It wasn’t known whether Bossard has an attorney who might comment on his behalf.
