Barry A. Beckett, 50, died on June 15, 2021. Born June 17, 1970 at Clark County Hospital, Jeffersonville, IN to Olas and Sandra Beckett. Barry was active in sports and graduated in 1988 from North Harrison High School in Ramsey, IN.
In 1991 he enlisted the U.S. Army and served six years. During his Army time he served in several locations: Ft. Benning, GA, Ft. Clayton-Panama, two bases in Germany, Ft. Carson, CO and Ft. Bragg, NC as a paratrooper.
He worked at the Horseshoe Casino in IN and then moved to the Seminole Tribe Casino in Florida for the past eight years.
He is preceded in death by his father, Olas Beckett.
Barry is survived by his wife, Maite, Sisters, Betsy and Polly Beckett (Vicki); sons, Jarrett, Cody and Austin Beckett. Other individuals he considered his children include Josie Noe, Courtney Burns, Dustin West, Paula Ocanto and Sebastian Marmol.
Barry enjoyed playing with his dogs, spending time at the beach, scuba diving, going to the movies and riding his Harley and was a member of Edwardsville United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be held at Edwardsville United Methodist Church in Georgetown, Indiana on Wednesday, June 23rd from 3-7 p.m. with a celebration of life to follow at 7 p.m.
