COLUMBUS
Evelyn A. Martin, 83, of Columbus passed away Friday June 18, 2021 at Columbus Transitional Health Care Center.
Born August 7, 1936 in Taylorsville, she was the daughter of Joseph W. and Eva Graham Wright. She married Virgil B. Martin December 30, 1957 and he preceded her in death January 25, 2008.
Before retirement Evelyn was employed as a caregiver for terminally ill patients.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church.
She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
Evelyn is survived by children, Eva Caudill of Columbus and Richard B. (Melissa) Martin of Cadiz, OH; grandchildren, Carrie (Josh) Graham, Cassandra Conner, Blair Martin, Donna Joe (Brian) Spicer and Abigail Martin; seven great grandchildren and siblings, Deana Giles of Letts and Jason Wright of Letts.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Norman Funeral Home in Hope. Cremation is planned and there will not be a service.
Memorial contributions may be donated to the Donor’s Choice of Charity.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Anna Hancher and Leona May Wright; brothers, Jerry, Jim, Joseph Jr., Jesse, John and Jasper Wright; baby boy Wright and a grandson, Bryant Campbell.
