Larry L. Jackson, 75, of Columbus, passed from this life unexpectedly at 2:57 a.m. Monday, June 28, 2021, at his home. Larry was born on June 29, 1945, in Jeffersonville, Indiana to Glenton G. Jackson and Lena Price Jackson, who proceeded him in death. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1963. He married Judith Golden on January 22, 1965, at St. Bartholomew Church officiated by Rev. Francis Dooley. He is survived by his wife, Judith A. Jackson, of 56 years; his children, Maggie (Howard) Norris, Beth (Barry) Parkhurst, Ben (Amy) Jackson, Andrew (Renee) Jackson and Sarah (Sean) McKelvie; grandchildren, Jake Norris, Allie (Trint) Castetter, Adam Parkhurst, Nathan Parkhurst, Morgan Parkhurst, Isaac Jackson, Grant Jackson, Anna Jackson, John Paul Jackson, Mary Kate Jackson, Luke Jackson, Lydia McKelvie, Patrick McKelvie and Fiona McKelvie; sisters Sharon McDonald, Joanna (Jim) Zaharako, Denise (Steve) Gibbens and his brother Steve (Nancee) Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by his brothers Del (Marlene) Jackson and Robert (Myrna) Jackson. Larry worked at Arvin Industries, Liquid Container, Plastipak Packaging, and started LL Jackson, Inc. in 1991, retiring in December 2019. Larry was a man of faith who loved his family, friends, country, church and community activities. He especially enjoyed his annual family trip to Walt Disney World. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial gifts be made to Bartholomew County Right to Life or St. Bartholomew Pro-life Ministry.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church with Father Clem Davis officiating.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.

A rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
