Turner ties for 47th in Indiana Amateur

FORT WAYNE — Bryce Turner carded a 6-over-par 78 in Wednesday’s final round to finish in a tie for 47th place in the Indiana Amateur Championship.

Turner, a Columbus North graduate and St. Francis senior, had shot 79 and 76 in the first two rounds Monday and Tuesday. He finished at 17-over 233 for the tournament.

Ike Brinson of Columbus (80-78), Bryce Kirchner or North Vernon (82-84) and Henry Kiel of Columbus (79-90) did not make the cut after the first two rounds.

Former Center Grove and current Indiana University golfer Noah Gillard won with a 5-under 211.Adam Bratton of Newburgh, who took second at 2-under 214, was the only other golfer to finish under par.
