COLUMBUS
Connie LaVerne Hash, 59, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 12:27 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Connie was born in Columbus, Indiana, March 21, 1962, the loving daughter of Lewis C. and Fannie Mae Finn Hash.
Connie was a longtime employee at Columbus Container Inc., now Packaging Corporation of America (PCA). She enjoyed flower gardening and loved all kinds of animals, especially her dogs and cats.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, Nathan Neeley of Columbus; siblings, Charlie (Lisa) Grissom of Franklin, Indiana, LaWanda Jones of Scottsburg, Indiana, James (Wendy) Grissom of Columbus, Karen (John) Arp of Columbus, and Clemmie L. “Hoke” Hash of Columbus; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Fannie Mae Hash; her son, Matthew Neeley; brother, Kevin Hanger; and infant sister, Shirley Grissom; and her sister, Carolyn Welch.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 19, 2021, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Pastor Tim Streeval will officiate. A live stream of the funeral service may be viewed at barkesweaverglick.com.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021, and from 12 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Connie will be laid to rest in Section 75 in the Garland Brook Cemetery.
