COLUMBUS
JoAnn (Weddle) England, 76, of Columbus, passed from this life at 6:54 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2021, at her home.
Mrs. England was born November 28, 1944, in Brownstown, Indiana, the daughter of Leo and Etta Morrow Weddle.
JoAnn married Lester A. England August 1, 1964.
She retired as Deputy Clerk from the Bartholomew County Clerk’s Office and attended Bethel Baptist Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of nearly 57 years, children, Christopher L. (Dianne) England of Columbus, Tony D. (Jill) England of Hope, Randy S. (Lori) England of Camp Hill, PA, Elizabeth A. (Michael) Orr of Columbus, Leslie R. (Jerry) Smith of Columbus and Lisa D. (Joe) Sweet of FL; 16 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Jerry (Wendy) Burrell of CO.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas and Larry Weddle and a sister, Sandra Hackman.
The funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Pastor Adam Carrigan officiating.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
