COLUMBUS
Terry L. Crossland left his earthly home for his eternal home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at his residence in Columbus. Terry (aka Chuck) was born on March 14, 1949, to Samuel A. and Reta I. (Richey) Crossland in Columbus. On December 11, 1970, he married Linda Harper and she survives.
Terry worked at Cummins Engine Co. retiring in July 2001 after 30 years of service. In his younger years he loved coon hunting and fishing. He never met a stranger and was always ready to talk, especially about his Lord and Savior and what He had done for him. If asked how he was doing his reply was, “Better than I deserve.”
Terry is survived by his wife Linda, sons Russell (Teresa) of Morgantown, KY, Matthew (Maggie) of Greenwood, IN, and daughter Sarah Crossland of Columbus, IN. Also surviving is his little buddy and friend Zeb Marts of Columbus.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tim Crossland and nephew, Seth Crossland.
Terry and Linda are of the Baptist Faith and worshipped with 6th Street General Baptist, Trinity Baptist and Lowell General Baptist Churches.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, August 2, 2021, at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Hampton and Pastor Don Hacker officiating. Calling will be from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
