BLOOMINGTON — The Columbus North and Columbus East girls golfers opened their seasons Monday with seventh- and eighth-place finishes in the Bloomington South Invitational.
Second-ranked Westfield won with a 295 at Bloomington Country Club. No. 3 Carmel finished second at 302, followed by No. 10 Castle at 306, No. 1 Evansville North 331, No. 17 Floyd Central 342, No. 11 Franklin 350, co-No. 6 Columbus North at 355 and East at 362.
Gwen Anderson led the Bull Dogs with a 78. Ella Wilks carded an 87, Ratisha Rashmil added a 93, Macy Euler shot 97 and Lindsey Hartwell had a 111.
The Olympians improved by 32 shot over last year’s season opener at the same site. Carter Gant led East with an 86, while Peyton Meier carded an 89, Harley Gant added a 90, Katie Hong shot 97 and Lilly Steinwedel had a 101.
