A local man was arrested on drug charges and for multiple warrants after he was stopped by officers on Wednesday evening.
At approximately 6:15 p.m., CPD officers stopped Tyler L. Lucas, 29, of 1456 Franklin St., who was riding a bicycle near the intersection of 12th and Franklin streets. The officers noted that Lucas was in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia and he was placed under arrest, said Lt. Matt Harris, Columbus Police Department spokesman.
The officers also confirmed three local warrants for Lucas’ arrest. Lucas was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail where he was remanded on the following preliminary charges:
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Three Bartholomew County warrants
Lucas was being held without bond in the Bartholomew County Jail, jail officials said.
