COLUMBUS
Dale Arthur Pasley, 79 of Columbus, Indiana, passed away at home on October 15, 2021.
Dale was born in Bartholomew County on February 9, 1942, the son of Homer Pasley and Virgie Brown Pasley. He married the love of his life, Elsie Knotts on June 10, 1961.
After high school he had a career with Reliance Electric in Columbus. He retired from there after 33 years. Dale was a kind soul who never met a stranger. He loved to help others and was often visiting shut-ins to show he cared.
Dale enjoyed riding his bike and fishing. He had a love for board games and corn hole and any activity that involved fun with other people. The joy of his life was teaching and playing games with his grandchildren. He was also heavily involved in his church and in raising funds for the March of Dimes.
Dale is survived by his wife and children, Gary Wayne of Columbus and Mark Alan (Laura) Pasley of Taylorsville, Indiana; Ginger Marie Pasley of Raleigh, N.C. and Laura Mae Pasley Fechtman of Columbus. He also has eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by a brother, Donald Pasley and a sister, Bernice Roberts.
Funeral services for Dale will be at 1 p.m. Monday, October 18, 2021 at Jewell-Rittman Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services with Rev. Stan Loutner officiating. The service will be live-streamed for those who cannot attend. Click the link on the website to view the service.
Burial will be at Flat Rock Baptist Cemetery immediately after the service.
Memorials have been established to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana and to his home church, The First Church of the Nazarene in Columbus.
