Richard “Rick” Thayer Fye, 31, died Monday, September 27, 2021 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was born October 9, 1989 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He was the son of Susan Thayer Fye of Hope, Indiana and Don Robert Fye of Columbus, Indiana.
Rick is survived by his three brothers, Edward Thayer Fye of Columbus, Indiana: Anthony “Tony” Thayer Fye (Aarika Birch) of Seymour, Indiana: and James “JJ” Thayer Fye (Alicia Fye) of Gadsden, Alabama. He is also survived by nieces Angel and Akirra: and nephews Thomas, Bryson, JT, and Orion. Rick is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He attended St. Peter’s Lutheran grade school in Columbus, Indiana and Hauser Jr-Sr High School in Hope, Indiana. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran church.
Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents: Thomas Lincoln Thayer and Mary Scott Thayer of Hope, Indiana; and also Robert Louis Fye and Ruth Montgomery Fye of Seymour, Indiana.
There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
