Artesians top Olympians

MARTINSVILLE — Columbus East was tied with Martinsville going to the fourth quarter Tuesday night, but the Artesians outscored the Olympians 23-15 in the final period to pull out a 59-51 victory.

The difference came down to free-throw shooting. Martinsville went 24 for 29 from the line, while East was 5 for 12.

Julius Dailey led the Olympians (1-8) with 17 points, while Ben Sylva scored 15. Zane Moravec added nine.

Columbus Christian wins

MEDORA — Columbus Christian led only 30-27 after three quarters before pulling away for a 53-37 win at Medora.

Peyton Rehlander scored 21 points, and Gabe Ridder had 20 to lead the Crusaders (9-7). Noah Edwards added nine.

GIRLS BAKSETBALL

Eagles fall to Panthers

BLOOMINGTON — Brown County was within 21-16 at halftime, but Bloomington South pulled away for a 55-31 victory.

Lexie Austin led the Eagles (3-12) with 16 points. Anna Stogsdill added six.
