COLUMBUS
Cindy Ann Hawkins, 52, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 7:55 a.m. Saturday,
January 29, 2022, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility.
Cindy was born in Columbus, May 15, 1969, the loving daughter of Robert L. Kelley Jr. and the late Elaine R. Lacey Kelley. On January 12, 2017, Cindy married Brad Hawkins; he survives.
Cindy graduated from Columbus North High School and earned her nursing degree from IUPUC.
For over 20 years, Cindy was a registered nurse serving several areas of the community, most recently at Columbus Regional Hospital. Cindy often enjoyed sunbathing on the porch while drinking her morning coffee. She also loved to read a variety of different books. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She had a never ending amount of love to give to everyone she ever met. That was one of her many joys that she shared with everyone, her love.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband, Brad Hawkins; children, Patrick (Jamie) Frensemeier of Columbus and Amanda (Kris) Santanio, stationed in San Antonio, Texas while serving in the U.S. Air Force; her father, Robert L. Kelley Jr. of Columbus; siblings, Chris W. (Regina) Ross of Elizabethtown, Indiana and Angela (Cindy) Ross of Greenwood, Indiana; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Cindy was preceded in death by her mother, Elaine R. Kelley and her brother, Kim A. Ross.
The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street.
Family and friends may gather for visitation from 1-3 p.m. Sunday and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Cindy will be laid to rest at the Garland Brook Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society, P.O. Box 1088, Columbus, Indiana 47202, cards are also available at the funeral home.
