Council votes 6-1 for ordinance on first reading to approve financing fieldhouse at NexusPark

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus City Council has approved an ordinance, on first reading, approving a lease with the Columbus Municipal Facilities Building Corp. to finance an indoor sports complex at NexusPark.

The vote, on Monday, was 6-1 in favor, with Democrat Elaine Hilber voting no.

City officials released an artistic rendition of what the fieldhouse complex is projected to look like prior to the vote.
