COLUMBUS
Dan W. Fischer, 61, of Columbus, passed unexpectedly at 3:34 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mr. Fischer was born September 30, 1960, in Columbus, the son of Alvin Dale and Mary Ann Mobley Fischer.
Dan married Tami Davis, January 11, 1989.
He was employed at Four Seasons Retirement Center.
An outdoorsman, Dan enjoyed motor sports, attending family gatherings, riding his Harley and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Tami; son, Ryan (Caroline) Fischer of Columbus; grandchildren, Walker, Chandler, Shafer and Warren Fischer; and brothers, Mark (Jana) Fischer and Patrick Fischer both of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Fischer.
The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with Rev. Mark Teike officiating.
Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum.
Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
