Arc presents 2022 awards, scholarships

The Arc of Bartholomew County 2022 Awards and Scholarships were presented May 24 at Hotel Indigo in Columbus. The awards honor community members who advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Honorees are as follows:

Kaylee Giles — Self-Advocate Award

Pam Florence — Educator of the Year

Andy Hunnicutt — David Stambaugh Volunteer of the Year

Richard “Dick” Boyce — Friend of The Arc

Julia Byers — Professional of the Year

Columbus East Champions Together — Youth Recognition Award, represented by Peyton Meier and Gabby Schuetz

SideKicks — President’s Award

Morgan Meier and Laurel Knight — Ben Baker Memorial Scholarship

Stella Arnholt — Columbus Autism Network Scholarship

Arc of Bartholomew County’s mission is to promote and protect the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and support their full inclusion and participation in the community throughout their lifetimes.
