Bartholomew County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a North Vernon woman on multiple charges following a traffic stop early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 3:13 a.m., BCSO deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the intersection of West County Road 800N and Executive Drive.
After a sheriff department K9 alerted to narcotics, deputies located suspected methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia.
The driver, identified as Cathy Ford, 54, North Vernon, also had suspected methamphetamine on her person, deputies said. A total of approximately 7.89 grams of meth was located, deputies said.
Ford was placed under arrest and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following preliminary charges:
- Possession of methamphetamine
- Possession of paraphernalia
- Possession of syringe
Ford remains in jail in lieu of $117,500 bond, jail officials said.
