Turning Point to have art show

Turning Point Domestic Violence Services will host the Heart Art Show with the goal of raising awareness surrounding domestic and dating violence and to utilize art as a means of interpersonal violence prevention.

The event will be at Turning Point’s new office building and art pieces will be auctioned to benefit Turning Point.

The agency is seeking local artists to submit pieces for the show that are representative of healthy relationships or a similar issue. Art categories include student artists grades 7 to 12, emerging artists, for college students and community members or professional artists, for practicing artists.

The contest is also open to younger students as well, and artists are invited to determine whether pieces will be sold to benefit Turning Point or returned to the artists.
