The National Weather Service has issued two advisories regarding weather conditions today and Tuesday.
There is an elevated fire danger this afternoon and early evening. Northwesterly wind gusts up to 30 mph will combine with low humidity and dry ground conditions to create elevated fire weather conditions this afternoon and early evening.
Avoid open burning if possible Monday afternoon and early evening.
Also, a freeze warning has been issued from 10 p.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Temperatures as low as 26 degrees are expected in all of central Indiana.
Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above.
