A wanted person was arrested on several drug related charges after he was seen on a moped, Columbus police said.
CPD officers saw Shawn R. Davis, 56, of Westfield, sitting on a moped in the 1700 block of Central Avenue at about 2:35 p.m. Friday. When officers approached Davis, he gave a false identification, police said. The officers confirmed Davis’ identity a short time later and determined that he had two felony warrants for his arrest out of Hamilton County.
Davis was placed under arrest and while searching his clothing, the officers located methamphetamine, syringes and drug paraphernalia that Davis had concealed in his pants.
Davis was transported to the Bartholomew County Jail, where he was held on the following preliminary charges:
- Hendricks County warrants for dealing and possession of methamphetamine.
- Level 4 felony possession of greater than 10 grams of methamphetamine.
- Level 6 felony possession of a legend drug injection device.
- Possession of paraphernalia.
- False identity statement.
