While Columbus city and Bartholomew County offices will be closed on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 8, and Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, trash and recycling collection in Columbus normally scheduled for those days will continue as scheduled, according to an announcement from the city.

Columbus City Utilities also will be closed Nov. 8 in observance of Election Day and for Veterans Day on Nov. 11. The utility said customers who experience problems with water or sewer service on those days should call the office at 812-372-8861 and follow the prompts.
