Alina M. Kent April 1, 1930 – November 3, 2022
Alina M. Kent, 92, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 3, 2022 at her home in Columbus. She was born April 1, 1930 to the late Perry and Zelma (Hacker) Gose in Martinsville. On May 4, 1958, she married her husband, William E. “Bill” Kent who passed away May 25, 2014. Alina was a 1950 graduate of Martinsville High School and went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgia Baptist Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for Indiana Bell, Community Hospital in Indianapolis, and Columbus Regional Hospital. She is survived by her sons, Michael E. Kent, Jeffrey E. Kent; daughter, Deborah “Debbie” Becker and husband Dennis; grandchildren, Meghan Kent Moore and husband Kenneth Moore, and Jennifer Stuckey. Preceding her in death are her husband, Bill; parents, Perry and Zelma; brothers, Ransom Gose, Junior Gose, Archie Gose; sister, Judy Sanford. Services are 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Costin Funeral Chapel 539 East Washington St. Martinsville, IN 46151 with one hour of visitation prior to the service starting at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.
