The Indiana Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches recently announced its All-State teams for this year.
Columbus North senior Julia Kiesler was named the Class 4A Girls Runner of the Year, senior Lily Baker was named to the first team and senior Brianna Newell was an honorable mention selection. In 3A, Brown County senior Hadley Gradolf was named to the honorable mention list.
For 4A boys, North seniors Mateo Mendez and Clayton Guthrie were named to the first team, and senior Will Russell was honorable mention. In 3A, Brown County senior Chase Austin was named to the first team.
ICGSA All-State teams announced
The Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association has announced its All-State Teams for 2022.
In soccer, Columbus East senior Norah Dwenger was named to the first team, East senior Allison Craig was named to the second team and East junior Nadia Harris and senior Anna Liimatta were named to the third team.
In cross-country, Columbus North seniors Julia Kiesler and Lily Baker were named to the first team, and North senior Brianna Newell was named honorable mention.
Horn named North football MVP
Columbus North football announced its end of the year awards at its team banquet. Cooper Horn was selected the Team Overall MVP.
Tyler Blythe was named Most Valuable Player on offense and also received the Bull Dog Award. Savion Miles was named the MVP on defense, and Damon Edwards won MVP on Special Teams. Kok Kao Yee was named Most Valuable Lineman, and Zac Horn and Max Mormino won the #ONE Award.
