EDINBURGH
Brian David Prather, 75 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away November 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 29, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was the son of Joseph N. and Mary C. (Cornelious) Prather. He married Judy C. (Allen) Prather on July 17, 1971 and she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Matthew (Eunice) Prather of Columbus, Indiana and David (Audrey) Prather of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandsons, Elijah Prather and Adam Prather, step-grandsons, Jimmy Green, Eddie Green, Robert (Betsy) Green, Branson Arnold and Aaron Arnold, one step-granddaughter, Morgan Arnold, 19 step-great grandchildren, and 2 step-great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, David and Lola Allen, brother-in-law, Kermit Allen and sister, Sara Allen, brother-in-law, Wendill Allen and sister-in-law, Peggy Allen.
He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968. He was a member of the Carthage Christian Church in Carthage, Ohio. He retired from Domtar after 25 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family, grilling, woodworking, and watching football on Sunday.
A funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Terry England at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Grace Tabernacle Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 10:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
