COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Candace Jo McFadyen, 68, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Willow Crossing Health &Rehabilitation Center.
Candace was born in Columbus, Indiana, August 28, 1954, the daughter of Wayne and Betty Ford Gayman. On December 13, 1990, Candace married Roger L. McFadyen; he survives.
A homemaker, Candace served the health care industry as a phlebotomist. She attended the Flintwood Wesleyan Church in Columbus where she enjoyed all church services and activities. Candace will be remembered for her love of bicycling, traveling, swimming, and making flower arrangements. She had a special place in her heart for her two precious dogs, Toby and Muffin.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, Roger; her daughter, Tiffany Southern Thomas and her husband Daryl of Hope; grandchildren, Keaton, Klaeton, Owen, Isaac, and Miya; and a sister, Jan Lewellen of Columbus.
Candace was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Betty Gayman and siblings, John Gayman, Judy Zeigler, and Angela Gayman.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2022, at Barkes, Weaver &Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street; Pastor Wes Jones will officiate.
Family and friends may gather for a time of visitation from 1-4 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
The committal service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Indiana. Memorial contributions in memory of Candace can be made to the Bartholomew County Humane Society.
