You can energetically rock your way into the new year with a special Brown County Music Center concert that begins at 9 p.m. Dec. 31 at the facility at 200 Maple Leaf Drive in Nashville.

An AC/DC tribute experience called Thunderstruck “captures the high-voltage energy and experience” of the classic group, according to publicity material.

And the idea of the concert already is a popular one, if Facebook reaction is any indication. One area resident posted the other day that he will be part of a 16-person group attending the show.

A Fort Wayne fan who saw them a few weeks ago in northern Indiana called them “fantastic,” but used all capital letters and a series of exclamation points. Another headbanger noted that they have seen the group at least three times in recent years.

Online concert reviews show that the group plays the expected well-known tunes: “Highway to Hell,” “Hell’s Bells,” “It’s a Long Way to the Top,” “Rock and Roll Ain’t Noise Pollution,” and “Thunderstruck,” among many others.

And, of course, the show is about more than the songs. According to reviews, drummer Corey Baetz has been known to moon the crowd.

From Kyle LaPato’s strong on-stage performance replicating the Angus Young of the ‘70s and ‘80s, to Bobby Lee Stamper’s versatile vocals mimicking both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson ranges, to the rhythm section made up of Kevin Feller on rhythm guitar, and Chris Jones on bass, Thunderstruck’s concert is “as true to the spirit of AC/DC as you can get,” says the website at thunderstruckus.com.

The band, officially established in 2015 (but existing in other variations for several years prior), has continued to grow its fan base by building and maintaining relationships with some of the nation’s biggest promoters and venues, such as Live Nation and the House of Blues, as well as by performing at major music festivals, including the Pensacola Tribute Fest and Parr Fest.

Plus, there have been livestream performances for major brands such as Number Juan Tequila and Monsters of Rock.
