‘Conversation’ focuses on pandemic

IUPUC and Mill Race Center are sponsoring the Columbus Conversations forum, “Where Do We Go from Here? A Discussion of Post-pandemic Challenges and Opportunities,” at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 26.

Mill Race Center Executive Director Dan Mustard will focus on the coronavirus’s impact on the elderly. He will be joined on the panel by five IUPUC faculty experts:

  • Ryan Brewer, division head and associate professor of finance, will offer his thoughts on the pandemic’s economic impacts.
  • Anna Carmon, associate professor and program director, communication studies, will discuss her research on communicating about COVID-19 through obituaries.
  • Paige McDaniel, health sciences interim division head and clinical assistant professor, will comment on the perspective from the nursing community.
  • Jon Padfield, assistant professor of management, will zero in on the supply chain issues.
  • Crystal Walcott, division head for education and professor, mathematics education, will share her thoughts on the pandemic’s impact on K-12 education.
