SHELBY COUNTY — The Shelby County Sheriff Department is investigating the death of a female found in a driveway int he 5000 block of South Smithland Road.
Sheriff Louie Koch said deputies responded to the scene at 2:25 p.m. Saturday and found a deceased female, who deputies are not identifying at this time, in the driveway of a home.
Detectives processing the scene developed information on a person, as well as a vehicle, that may have been involved.
Saturday evening, assisted by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, the vehicle and individual, Jarrod L. Procell, 43, Waldron, were located, Koch said. Procell has been charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident, Koch said.
