State Road 58 to close for bridge work

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announced that contractors will close State Road 58 about two miles west of I-65 near Walesboro beginning on or after Monday, March 13 to complete a small structure replacement project. The closure is expected to last through late April, weather permitting.

The official detour follows State Road 58 to State Road 258 to State Road 11 to I-65.

This contract was awarded to Milestone Contractors, L.P. for $2.7 million and also includes two superstructure replacements on State Road 58 near Spraytown in Jackson County.

Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
