Long wins No. 100 for Hauser
SHELBYVILLE — Hauser fell behind Southwestern (Shelby) 1-0 early for the second consecutive day, but once again rallied for an easy Mid-Hoosier Conference win, this time by a score of 12-1 to give coach Nate Long his 100th career victory.
Holden Pittman and Zayne McCanlis combined on a five-hitter and did not allow an earned run for the Jets (10-5-1, 8-0). Nathan Worland went 3 for 4 with a double, Kameron Blair went 2 for 3 with a double and two RBIs, Stryker Gill went 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Owen McIntyre went 2 for 3 with a triple, Pittman went 2 for 5 with a double and two RBIs and Karson Stuckey went 2 for 5.
East edges Jennings
NORTH VERNON — Columbus East picked up its second consecutive win, a 1-0 victory at Jennings County.
Blake Borkhardt, Will Boyer, Eli Tindell and Ethan Harris combined on a five-hit shutout for the Olympians (3-11). East managed four hits, including an RBI-double by Caleb Martoccia in the sixth.
Ryan Schuck went 2 for 2 for the Panthers (4-10). Keegan Manowitz had a triple and threw a four-hitter with 12 strikeouts.
Cougars down Mohawks
WALDRON — Avery Seegers went 3 for 3 with a double, two home runs and three RBIs to lead South Decatur to a 4-1 MHC win at Waldron.
Dale Peters went 2 for 3 for the Cougars (9-3, 5-0). Devin Pate and Brock Lane combined on a five-hitter.
Lancers drop pair
MORRISTOWN — Edinburgh dropped the first game of a MHC doubleheader 17-0 and was trailing 18-0 after three innings of the second game when it was stopped.
Milas Burkman had the lone hit in the opener. Three players had one hit for the Lancers (2-13, 1-8) in the second game.
Trinity tops Eagles
SEYMOUR — Nathan Voelker threw a three-hitter with nine strikeouts to lead Trinity Lutheran to an 11-1, five-inning win against Jac-Cen-Del.
Sage Broughton had two hits, including a triple, and Luke Coomler had two hits for the Cougars (6-8). Kowan Gross had a double and two RBIs.

North routs Falcons
INDIANAPOLIS — Class 4A No. 3 Columbus North, which moved to No. 1 overall in this week’s MaxPreps Indiana rankings for the first time in school history, rolled to a 14-1 win at Perry Meridian.
Maddi Rutan went 3 for 3 with a double, a triple, a home run and six RBIs for the Bull Dogs (13-1-1). Josie Lemmons went with a triple and four RBIs, Miley McClellan went 2 for 2, Kelsey Lovelace went 2 for 4 and Kirsten Danford had two RBIs.
Payton Morris homered in her only at bat and threw a five-hitter with seven strikeouts.
Lancers roll to win
EDINBURGH — Edinburgh rolled to an 8-0 MHC win at Morristown and was leading 11-2 after one inning of the second game when it was suspended because of rain.
MacKenzie Bieker threw a two-hitter and struck out 14 in the opener for the Lancers (7-6, 5-1). Alex Streeval went 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, Lexi Riley went 2 for 2, Gracie Barrett went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Gracie Crawhorn went 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Kenna Streeval went 2 for 2 with a double, a triple and three RBIs in the first inning of the second game. Bieker went 2 for 2 with four RBIs, Crawhorn went 2 for 2 with a triple and Barrett went 2 for 2 with a double.
Bulldogs top Panthers
NORTH VERNON — Jennings County led 2-0 after two innings, but New Albany rallied for a 12-4 Hoosier Hills Conference win.
Kenzie Matern went 2 for 4 with a home run for the Panthers (10-7, 1-3).
Cougars fall to Mohawks
WALDRON — South Decatur led 6-2 after three innings, but Waldron rallied for a 15-10 MHC win.
Kassidy Haley went 2 for 4 with a double, and Kyra Fields had a home run for the Cougars (2-11, 2-3).
Panthers stop Eagles
BLOOMINGTON — Brown County took a 13-1 loss at Bloomington South.
The Eagles fell to 2-9.
Trinity routs Mustangs
NEW WASHINGTON — Trinity Lutheran scored in all five innings in rolling to an 18-2 win at New Washington.
Grace Lance threw a three-hitter for the Cougars (9-7). Bailey Tabeling went 4 for 4 with a triple, Madison Keith went 3 for 4 with a double and three RBIs, Madelyn Adams went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, Dianna Munoz went 3 for 4 with two RBIs, Lance went 2 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs and Morgan Brewer had three RBIs.

East edges Woodmen
GREENWOOD — Columbus East posted its second consecutive win, a 3-2 triumph at Greenwood.
Ruth Federle beat Morian Ellington 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (5-8). Shruthika Kumar and Katey Rieckers topped Audrey Poynter and Gracie Gasaway 6-2, 7-5 at No. 1 doubles, and Allie Gribbins and Sara Moran defeated Savannah McCauley and Lesley Rodriguez 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
East’s Lauren Degner fell to Maggie Boyce 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles, and Katie Hong lost to Brooklyn Hanson 3-6, 7-6 (8), (11-9) at No. 2 singles.
Trinity tops Hauser
SEYMOUR — Trinity Lutheran won three matches in straight sets in handing Hauser a 4-1 defeat.
Drew Hubbard beat Bella Kilps 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles, and Siddha Hall topped Charlie Clark 6-3, 7-5 a No. 2 singles for the Cougars. Trinity’s Kiley Zabel and Carson Bowling defeated Mattie Foster and Addyson Barriger 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Natalee Martinez and Emily Keller outlasted Kayden Miller and Martina Munoz 6-4, 5-7, (10-7) at No. 2 doubles.
The point for the Jets (6-4) came at No. 3 singles, where Lydia Jordan beat Sam Enzinger 6-1, 6-3.
Eagles blank Patriots
SPENCER — Brown County dropped only four games in the five matches in rolling to a 5-0 Western Indiana Conference win at Owen Valley.
Anna Stogsdill beat Alyeska Ranard at No. 1 singles, and Julia Burt topped Maddi Dill at No. 3 singles, both by 6-1, 6-0 scores for the Eagles (10-4, 4-0). Anna Tipton defeated Kailey Sanders 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.
Brown County’s Katie Tipton and Londyn Koester blanked Klaudia Stahl and Kit Kat Kelly at No. 1 doubles, and Ava Kelly and Cady Kemp downed Kaylynn Paris and Chloe

Eagles post season best
EDINBURGH — Brown County posted its best score of the season and was 24 shots better than on the same Timbergate course three days earlier, in a 171-249 win against Southwestern (Shelby).
Clay Austin and Liam Cassiday won co-medalist honors with 41s. Bradley Arndt carded a 43, Wesley Arndt added a 46, Jon Kirchhofer shot 54 and Will Hiatt had a 67.
GCA outscores Lancers
GREENWOOD — Edinburgh fell to Greenwood Christian Academy 171-199 at Smock.
Max Blandford led the Lancers with a 39. Mason Calhoun added a 48, Devyn Milburn and Wyatt Burton each shot 56 and Keegan Smith had a 57.
