COLUMBUS, INDIANA
Agnes M. Voris, 100, a resident of Columbus, Indiana, passed from this life at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Traditions of Columbus.
Mrs. Voris was born in Paducah, Kentucky, May 3, 1923, the youngest child born to Erby and Susie Robinson Bicknell. She was united in marriage to Luther T. Voris May 8, 1945; he preceded her in death, May 23, 1988.
A homemaker, Mrs. Voris was a faithful member of First Christian Church where she taught Sunday school for many years, and she enjoyed her membership in Bible Study Fellowship. She had a passion for gardening, sewing, and cooking. In addition, she volunteered in BCSC schools.
Mrs. Voris is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Jack) Norman of Avon, Indiana, Bonita Voris Hitz of Fishers, Indiana, Cheryl Voris Jiminez of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Michelle (Gary) Critzer of Columbus; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Voris was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, Delbert Bicknell; and a sister, Sadie Moore.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at First Christian Church Chapel with Steve Yeaton officiating. Family and friends may gather for visitation from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Voris will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Garland Brook Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Our Hospice of South Central Indiana, or Disabled American Veterans.
