Franklin Wayne “Frank” Maschino

SEYMOUR, INDIANA

Franklin Wayne “Frank” Maschino, 70, a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed from this life at

9:19 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at Reid Health in Richmond, Indiana.

Frank was born in Jackson County, Indiana, September 13, 1952, the son of the late Orville “Copper” and Nina Wayt Maschino. On June 5, 1971, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Borchers, Frank married Barbara J. Speer; she survives.

Frank was a 1970 graduate of Seymour High School. On September 18, 1972, Frank became a member of the Indiana Army National Guard, he was honorably discharged June 27, 1982.

Frank was a heavy equipment operator, he worked for Onyx Paving in Seymour. He then was employed at Golden Foundry in Columbus, and he finished his working career at Milestone Contractors. Frank was a member of the Indiana Laborers Union. In his spare time, Frank always enjoyed watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies, and M*A*S*H. He never missed his grandson’s sporting events and he loved to feed the animals on his property.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of 52 years, Barbara; daughter, Jenni Metz of Seymour; grandson, Dustin Metz of Crothersville; great-granddaughter, Riley Belle Eleanor Metz; sisters, Brenda (Rick) Bridgewater of Seymour and Marsha Waskom of Seymour; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Lee Maschino.

A celebration of life will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 North Walnut Street, Seymour, Indiana 47274.

Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice of charities.
