FREETOWN
Sandra Gail (Hughes) Wethington, of Freetown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Our Hospice in Columbus, Indiana. She was born on November 4, 1949 to the late George Hughes and the late Rena (Cox) Hughes. She was a Christian by faith. Sandra was a loving, caring, understanding and bubbly lady that loved life and lived it to the fullest. She enjoyed crochet, bingo, casinos and poker with her friends. Above all, she loved her kids and grandkids.
She is survived by her two daughters, Debbie Graham and her husband Curtis of Columbus, Indiana and Mary Jane Darlage and her husband Joseph of Freetown, Indiana. Four brothers, Lonnie Hughes and his wife Della of Beckley, WV, Vernon Hughes of Beckley, WV, Daniel Hughes and his wife Yuni of San Antonio, Texas and Gary Hughes of Sophia, WV. One sister, Ruth Ann Hunt of Sophia, WV. Two grandchildren, Jesse Meek and Madison Darlage and two great grandchildren, Myrah Meek and Callie Meek.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Larry Hughes and one sister, Cora Sue Johnson.
In keeping with her wished the family has chosen cremation and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
