Work on the Interstate 65 bridge in Columbus, which has snarled traffic on State Road 46 for months, should wrap up by the end of July, according to the Indiana Department of Transportation.
COLUMBUS, Ind. — The ramps that cross under I-65 on State Road 46, Exit 68, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today and Wednesday.
The closures are only for the I-65 exit ramps that cross under the overpass. Drivers may only access I-65 northbound from State Road 46 westbound and can only access I-65 southbound from State Road 46 eastbound. The off ramps go from I-65 northbound to State Road 46 eastbound and I-65 southbound to State Road 46 westbound.
Bartholomew County Emergency Management is advising motorists to avoid the area or be prepared for backed up traffic.
