Letter: Rokita supports big government prying into private lives

Reading during a visit to Columbus in The July 21 Republic of the actions of Todd Rokita and other state attorneys general trying to allow state government access to private citizens’ health care information makes me wonder: What ever happened to individual citizen rights in some states? What ever happened to our rights to privacy? So many states like these decry “big government.” What could be anything “bigger” than a state peering into our private health details?

I would hope you and other state and local journalists ensure that this blatant hypocrisy is highlighted on an ongoing basis, and, indeed, please ask Todd Rokita and others of his persuasion to explain their big-government, anti-personal-privacy thrust.
