COLUMBUS
Ralph Bishop Lay, 96, of Columbus, died Monday July 24, 2023. He was born September 9, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH to Harold R. and Inez (Bishop) Lay.
Mr. Lay was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy. He also loved genealogy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jewell B. Lay; and two sisters, Ruth Everroad and Peggy Dollard.
Ralph is survived by his loving son, Joel Lay and his wife, Mary, of Columbus; and grandsons, Henry Bishop Lay of Tampa, FL, and Samuel George Lay of Columbus.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Memorials in his name should be directed to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
