NEW ALBANY — New Albany jumped out to a 14-0 lead after one quarter and went on to hand Jennings County its first loss of the season, a 47-20 Hoosier Hills Conference setback.
Branden Braun carried 24 times for 133 yards and two touchdowns for the Panthers (2-1, 0-1). Parker Elmore completed 6 of 7 passes for 101 yards, and Sam Burkman completed 7 of 14 passes for 80 yards and a touchdown to Cole Sigler. Austin Byford caught three passes for 71 yards.
Jennings was seeking its first 3-0 start since 2011.
