No. 2 Bull Dogs down Red Devils

JEFFERSONVILLE — Columbus North celebrated its move up to No. 2 in the state boys tennis rankings with a 4-1 win Monday at Jeffersonville.

Parth Shah beat Eli Cochrum 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Austin Clark topped Matthew Lowe 6-3, 6-0 at No. 2 singles for the Bull Dogs (10-1). Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram downed Javier Gomez and Ryan Crawford 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, and Michael Crossman and Yoki Murabayashi defeated Elijah Glasscock and Ben Eiten 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 doubles.

North’s Teddy Littrell was trailing Teddy Burnette 7-5, 2-0 at No. 3 singles when Littrell retired due to injury.
