No. 2 Bull Dogs edge No. 30 Dragons

SELLERSBURG — Playing without injured No. 1 singles player Hank Lin, second-ranked Columbus North pulled out a 3-2 win against No. 30 Silver Creek Tuesday in a boys tennis match that was finished indoors because of insufficient lighting on the Dragons’ outdoor courts.

Austin Clark beat Brennan Cooper 6-2, 6-7 (2), 7-5 at No. 2 singles for the Bull Dogs (13-1). Amrit Kar and Anvay Atram topped Sam McAfee and Chase Richardson 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 doubles, and Michael Crossman and Yoki Murabayashi defeated Cohen Cissel and Riley Clift 6-4, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

North’s Parth Shah fell to Camden Smith 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and Teddy Littrell lost to Sam Harris 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
