Columbus East pulled out a three-set win at No. 2 doubles Wednesday to claim a 3-2 victory against Jennings County in the consolation round of the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament.
Brady Redelman beat Isaac Lightner 6-3, 6-2 at No. 2 singles, and Tyler Ernst topped Cole Skinner 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles for the Olympians (6-10). East’s Henry Ulrich and Owen Kirk defeated Rider Ruddick and Brady Sentz 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
For the Panthers (3-13), Parker Bales beat Erik Takahashi 6-3, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Jennings’ Ty Zohrlaut and Ryan Schuck topped Ethan Bumbalough and Trevor Ernst 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.
